Just a couple weeks in to official debut, the self-proclaimed 2016 Flagship Killer – the OnePlus 2 – has been spotted on Lazada bearing a price tag that’s significantly higher than its original SRP.
OnePlus 2 specs:
5.5-inch In-Cell Full HD Display, 401ppi
Snapdragon 810 v2.1 64-bit octa-core CPU
4GB LPDDR4 RAM
64GB internal storage
13MP rear camera w/ OIS, 1.3 micron pixels, Laser AF, dual-tone flash
Slow-mo video at 120fps, 4K video recording
5MP front camera
Dual-SIM, Dual-LTE (nano-SIM)
4G LTE, 3G HSPA+
WiFi 802.11 a/c
Bluetooth 4.1
GPS, A-GPS
FM Radio
Fingerprint sensor (up to 5 unique fingerprints)
USB Type-C
Alert Slider (hardware switch for notifications settings)
3,300mAh battery
OxygenOS (Android 5.1.1 Lollipop)
151.8 x 74.9 x 9.85 mm
175 g
The OnePlus 2’s original SRP is pegged at $389PHP 22,829INR 32,968EUR 370CNY 2,831 or Php17,796USD 303INR 25,708EUR 289CNY 2,208 in the current conversion rate. However, the one listed on Lazada is currently being sold in Lazada for Php21,799USD 371INR 31,491EUR 354CNY 2,705 (perhaps taxes and VAT added to the hike in the price).
Of course, we’ve also have to account for shipping fees and other charges the seller has to shoulder (for legit purposes or otherwise) in order to get the handset here in the country. Thus, some buyers wouldn’t mind shelling that extra cash, especially since the OnePlus 2 (or its predecessor for that matter) isn’t available locally.
For that extra four grand on top of the handset’s SRP one would expect that handset will be covered with some kind of warranty. But sadly, the listing that we saw on Lazada doesn’t come with a warranty, so if anything happens to it, you’re pretty much stuck with Php22,000USD 375INR 31,781EUR 357CNY 2,730 paper weight or resort to unofficial means of getting it fixed.

“spotted on Lazada bearing a price tag that’s significantly than its original SRP”
significantly what?
lolwut says:
One thing I learned from using different gadgets over the years is that you cant be too sure when your gadget is going to give up. So, it is never advisable for any purchase to not have a warranty specially for this price range.
Syntax says:
Moto X Pure/Style is much better than this phone in every way.
Justin says:
Just buy it abroad. Don’t patronize local sellers with greedy margins!
laz says:
Seriously, you might as well indicate in your post that at that price tag, it comes with NO WARRANTY as per the seller in Lazada, many consumers rated the seller at 2.6stars out of 5
Easy E says:
Yung ibang merchant ng lazada ay galing abroad. This might be one of them. Yep walang local waranty ang ibang phones bought from lazada. Ingats.
OPOuser says:
Bought my OP1 from lazada. The seller is from HK and the phone came with ColorOS. I assume it’s the same case with this OP2. I attribute the higher price to shipping. No warranty but I’ve had my phone for 9 months with no issues.
