Based on the listed changes, the OnePlus 6T has a lot of new things to offer, not just on the hardware but also on the software features. Some of the important things to note are the in-display fingerprint scanner, the upgraded glass protection in the screen, and the absence of a 3.5mm audio port.
OnePlus didn’t change the chipset and camera specs but they added new features to enhance the user experience, like the rear camera’s NightScape mode which allows users to shoot at low-light conditions without compromising the quality of the photo. Do note though, that this feature will come to the OnePlus 6 as well in the future update.
The OnePlus 6T comes with a Smart Boost which basically optimizes the phone to improve its gaming capabilities. The company also mentioned that they have improved its gesture control.
The OnePlus 6T is also running on Android 9.0 Pie-based OxygenOS out of the box and carries a slightly larger battery capacity which should yield a longer battery life than the OnePlus 6.
