OPPO Reno 16 Pro now official, 200MP Cameras, 7,000mAh Battery

OPPO officially unveiled the Reno 16 Pro in China, and it brings a notable spec bump over the Reno 15 Pro that landed in the Philippines back in February.

The Reno 16 Pro runs on MediaTek’s Dimensity 9500s, a flagship-grade chip also found inside the Find X9 series. Paired with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 3.1 storage, it comes in five configurations: 12GB+256GB, 12GB+512GB, 16GB+256GB, 16GB+512GB, and a 16GB+1TB top-end option.

On the front is a 6.78-inch flat OLED panel at 2772×1272 resolution with a 120Hz refresh rate and 10-bit color support. OPPO also integrated high-frequency PWM dimming, which helps reduce eye strain during longer screen sessions.

Camera-wise, the Reno 16 Pro carries a triple rear setup: a 200MP main shooter, a 50MP ultra-wide, and a 50MP periscope telephoto. That last lens is a step up from the standard telephoto on the Reno 15 Pro. The front camera also gets a 50MP sensor.

Battery is where it gets interesting. The Reno 16 Pro packs a 7,000mAh cell, up from the Reno 15 Pro’s 6,500mAh. Charging covers 80W wired and 50W wireless. The phone runs Android 16 with ColorOS out of the box.

OPPO also added the Snap Key, a physical shortcut button that debuted on the Find X9. The company also launched a magnetic AMOLED accessory called OPPO Bubble alongside the phone, doubling as a secondary display and remote shutter up to 10 meters away.

Pricing and availability

In China, the Reno 16 Pro starts at CNY 3,699 (roughly PHP 31,000) for the 12GB+256GB variant. The top 16GB+1TB model is priced at CNY 4,799 (roughly PHP 39,000). Color options include Moonlit Night Black, Dreamy Blue, and Heart-Fluttering Stars.

OPPO says global availability is expected sometime in June or July. No Philippine launch date or local pricing has been announced. For reference, the Reno 15 Pro launched locally at PHP 49,999 in February, starting from the same CNY 3,699 in China, so expect a similar markup when it arrives here.
