Over 169 million SIMs up for registration

Over 169 million mobile subscribers nationwide are up for registration, according to the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT).

Based on the National Telecommunication Commission’s latest records, the DICT says that 17,698,340 SIMs have been registered as of January 11, 2023, which is 10.47% of the 169 million subscribers nationwide.

For those unaware, the ongoing SIM registration is in accordance with the “Subscriber Identity Module or SIM Registration Act.”
