The Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen1, the company’s most powerful chip as of writing, was launched in December 2021. It didn’t take long, though, for smartphones carrying the said chip come out of production with some of them landing in the Philippines. Next is ZTE’s gaming brand nubia. The nubia REDMAGIC 7 features a 6.8-inch FHD+ (2400 x 1080) AMOLED display with 165Hz refresh rate and Gorilla Glass 5, 64MP triple-rear cameras, 8MP front camera, and a built-in cooling fan.

Samsung is one of the first brands to launch its flagship smartphones in the country powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen1 with the Galaxy S22 Series. It was a surprising move considering that the company is known for releasing the Exynos models in the Philippines.
