realme 10 Pro 5G Hands-on

A couple of months ago, realme released two smartphones under the realme 10 series, the realme 10 Pro 5G and the realme 10 Pro+ 5G. The standard realme 10 was released in the Philippines around the same time, while there were no signs of the Pro variants. Well, until now. Here’s our hands-on of the realme 10 Pro 5G.

The realme 10 Pro 5G builds on the design of the realme 10 but is sleeker and with thinner bezels. It has a 6.7-inch IPS display, with a hole punch in the middle for the 16MP selfie camera. Placed just above it is the earpiece/loudspeaker.

On the left is the card slot for two nano-sized SIM cards and a microSD in a hybrid setup.

On the right are the volume buttons and the power/lock button which also doubles as a fingerprint scanner. The buttons are placed in the middle of the frame, so it’s easy to reach.

Up top, we have a microphone, while down at the bottom are the 3.5mm audio jack, main microphone, USB-C port, and loudspeaker.

At the back, we have two protruding lenses for the 108MP main and 2MP depth cameras, as well as the LED flash.

It’s been a while since we’ve held the realme 10, but we can say that the realme 10 Pro 5G feels more premium. The metallic frame with flat sides feels and looks great, while the back panel has a textured, frosted finish, which repels fingerprints and smudges well.

The realme 10 Pro 5G comes in three colors: Hyperspace, Dark Matter, and Nebula Blue, which is the unit we have on hand. As the name suggests, the back panel’s light effect resembles that of the luminescence of the celestial cloud. Given the said characteristics, even though there’s nothing groundbreaking in terms of design, the realme 10 Pro 5G is an attractive device and not boring to look at.

Powering the realme 10 Pro 5G is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 5G chipset with Adreno 619 GPU, 8GB of RAM, and 256GB of storage. Fhe battery, it has a 5,000mAh capacity with 33W fast charging. And for the software, the device runs on realme UI 4.0 based on Android 13.
