Here are the advantages of each smartphone:

Realme C1

  • Highest screen size
  • Corning Gorilla Glass 3
  • Best CPU performance
  • Best GPU performance
  • Secondary rear camera
  • Largest battery capacity

Huawei Y6 2018

  • Repels fingerprint marks and smudges easily (matte back panel)

Samsung Galaxy J4+

  • Highest expandable storage
  • Widest rear camera aperture
  • NFC

As you can see, the Y6 2018 doesn’t offer a lot when it comes to specs, but its polycarbonate back with a matte finish makes it the best choice if users want to have an almost smudge-free back panel.

For the display, the Realme C1 comes out on top thanks to its largest screen size of 6.2-inch with a 19:9 aspect ratio and a Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. This makes the device the most viable smartphone for streaming or watching videos. The Galaxy J4+ gets the second place while the Y6 2018 is last.

Smartphones in this price range are mostly equipped with either a Snapdragon 425, Snapdragon 430, or MediaTek MT6737T chipsets but the Realme C1 comes with a Snapdragon 450 which is dubbed as the Snapdragon 625 jr. The Realme C1 is also the top pick when it comes to CPU performance.

The three smartphones have the same front camera resolution but it’s a different story for the rear as the Realme C1 comes with a secondary lens for better bokeh effects. If you like this camera feature, the C1 is the best choice. As for overall camera quality, we’ll know more once we have all phones for review.

In terms of battery capacity, the Realme C1 has the largest among the three at 4,230mAh. So if you’re looking for something that can last you a whole day at least, we’re betting on the C1.

Overall, the Realme C1 trumps the other two when it comes to its display, performance, and battery life. The Y6 2018 can be a good pick if you like the back panel material, while the Galaxy J4+ is the better choice for the wide rear camera aperture and if you want to put a 512GB microSD cards.

When it comes to value, the Realme C1 is the best pick among the three. Here are the prices of each smartphone:

  • Realme C1 – PHP 5,990
  • Huawei Y6 2018 – PHP 5,999
  • Samsung Galaxy J4+ – PHP 6,990

  1. Any other phone that can beat the value of the Realme C1?

  2. Well the sd450 is of course the better buy in terms of soc and raw power. But then again, that’s just one part of what makes a phone, there are other things that need to compliment the soc.

  3. Realme C1 may have higher specs on paper — it’s basically an Oppo A3s with a price cut for Oppo’s Realme sub-brand.
But buyer beware: if you read around reviews of the A3s and apply it for the Realme C1, it has by far the worst camera of the three. So don’t get it if you’re looking for a budget shooter.
