Samsung Galaxy Z Flip renders, specs leak online

Renders and specs of Samsung’s upcoming foldable smartphone, the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip have surfaced online.

A render was posted by Evan Blass (@evleaks) on Twitter, and more images of the device were also posted by WinFuture.de. The Galaxy Z Flip has a square-shaped clamshell design, looking slightly similar to the Motorola Razr. When unfolded, the Z Flip has slim bezels, with a hole-punch selfie camera placed on the upper center of the display. According to the report, the Z Flip can be adjusted to open between 70 degrees and 110 degrees, with Samsung claiming it can be easily placed on a table.

On the lower half of the Z Flip’s screen, one can find two rubber nubs that cushion the upper half to prevent it from being closed hard. The rear of the device also has dual cameras and a small external display situated next to it. It’s also said that the entire device will be protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 6.

WinFuture.de also reported on the specs of the Z Flip. It’s expected to have a 6.7-inch screen when unfolded, while the small external display measures at 1.06-inches and has always-on support. Under the hood, it’s reported to sport a Snapdragon 855+ chipset, 8GB RAM, and 256GB storage. The cameras are said to be a 12MP dual-pixel AF shooter + 12MP ultra-wide, while the front is a 10MP dual-pixel AF lens. Other features are said to be a two-part 3,300mAh battery with 15W Quick Charge support, 9w Qi wireless charging, a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, NFC support, and will run on Samsung One UI 2.0 based on Android 10.
