Samsung halts the sale of Galaxy Note7 worldwide

Samsung is asking all carriers and retail partners worldwide to stop offering their current flagship, Galaxy Note7, to their customers. This is after several reports of additional faulty Note7 devices that are posing fire threats to users.

Despite the progress of the return and exchange program for the first batches, the issue plaguing the handset is still not yet resolved according to recent incident reports. Samsung says they are currently doing an investigation regarding the matter and they are working with regulatory authorities to resolve the situation.

In line with this, Samsung advises consumers to stop using their Galaxy Note7, may it be the original or the replacement unit, and make necessary precaution and remedies they are entitled with.
