Samsung outs the Galaxy C5: 16MP cam, 6.7mm thin

After countless rumors, Samsung has finally made the Galaxy C5 official via their Chinese website. It’s a slim smartphone packed with a Snapdragon chip, a 16-megapixel rear camera, and Android Marshmallow right out of the box.

It’s also worth noting that this device looks a lot like another smartphone, especially in the back part. The probable downside with a slim profile smartphone is the battery — it only packs a mere 2600mAh despite having great hardware.

Samsung Galaxy C5 specs:
5.2-inch FHD sAMOLED display @ 1080 x 1920 px, 424ppi
1.5 GHz MSM8952 Octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 617
Adreno 405
4GB RAM
32GB / 64GB internal storage
expandable up to 128GB via hybrid microSD card slot
16 MP f/1.9 rear camera with dual LED Flash
8MP f/1.9 front camera
Dual SIM (Micro, Hybrid)
4G LTE, 3G HSPA+
WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n
Bluetooth 4.2
GPS, GLONASS, BDS
NFC
Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow
2,600mAh battery

The Samsung Galaxy C5 will be offered in Silver, Gray, Gold,  and Rose Gold colors in China starting at CNY 2,200 (Php15,700*) for the 32GB model, while the 64GB internal storage variant will cost CNY 2,400 (Php17,100).

  1. gusto ko talaga design neto lalo na yung specs ng c7 kaso ang mahal.
antayin ko muna moto z at asus zenfone then decide which one to buy.

  2. Dont buy this guys. The battery is so small(2600mAh) for a 4gb, Snapdragon 617, 32gb phone. Less than 6 hours lang to magagamit. You have been warned

    • Wow, I didn’t know that Samsung gave you review units before they’re even released. Bravo.

  3. Well, Samsung has to sell more phones in China thats why they copied/adopted a familiar design for the back of this phone. This also includes the hybrid SIM and SD card tray and slots. Battery capacity should have been increased to 3000mah even if it adds a few millimeters in thickness.

  4. 2600mah?? ???? kelangan titigan ng mabuti, mukha kasing hindi samsung.. Overall. Ok na.
