Samsung’s internet browser now available for all Android devices

Listen to article

Five months ago, Samsung released the open beta of its browser app for exclusive use with Google Nexus and Pixel devices. Now, they have just started rolling their v6 beta, which will now work on all Android 5.0+ (Lollipop+) devices.

The features of this new update include a high contrast mode for more comfortable reading, WebVR support for non-Samsung Gear VR headsets, controlling Bluetooth devices via the browser, and the ability to sync even across non-Samsung devices.

Another huge feature is quick access to content blockers, which Samsung highly supports. When the stable release rolls out, the browser will even include a list of available extensions right there in the settings menu.

Do note that v6.0 is still a beta version of the app, and it will see multiple updates before v6.2 rolls out, which is the stable release. It will gradually become available worldwide via the Google Play Store and the Galaxy Apps store.
