TECNO CAMON 40 Series to launch in PH soon

After a month after its debut at the MWC Barcelona, the TECNO CAMON 40 Series will soon launch in the Philippines.

The upcoming lineup includes the vanilla CAMON 40, the CAMON 40 Pro, and the CAMON 40 Premier 5G. Let’s have a recap of their key features.

TECNO CAMON 40

The base CAMON 40 comes features the MediaTek Helio Helio G100 Ultimate SoC (6nm) with 8GB of RAM and available in 128GB or 256GB of storage. Powering the device is a 5200mAh battery with 45W fast charging.

For cameras, the phone is equipped with a 50MP main shooter with OIS, an 8MP ultra-wide lens, and a 32MP front camera.

TECNO CAMON 40 Pro (4G)

The CAMON 40 Pro sports a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with FHD+ resolution (2436 x 1080) and a 120Hz refresh rate. It also has an in-display fingerprint scanner and a 50MP autofocus front camera.

Like the base model, it runs on the same MediaTek Helio G100 Ultimate chip and offers up to 16GB total RAM via memory expansion. Storage options remain at 128GB or 256GB. The battery is also 5200mAh with 45W fast charging.

The main camera setup includes a 50MP Sony LYT-701C sensor with OIS, an 8MP ultra-wide camera, dual flash, and features like AI FlashSnap and a dedicated shortcut button.

TECNO CAMON 40 Premier 5G

The top-end CAMON 40 Premier 5G boasts enhanced durability, featuring IP68 and IP69 water and dust resistance, Gorilla Glass 7i, and 360-degree drop protection.

It uses a 6.67-inch AMOLED display with a sharper 2.8K resolution (2800 x 1260) and a 144Hz refresh rate. The fingerprint scanner is also placed under the display.

Under the hood, it runs on a 4nm MediaTek Dimensity 8350 Ultimate chip clocked at up to 3.35GHz. It has 12GB of RAM (expandable to 24GB) and 256GB of storage.

The battery capacity is slightly smaller at 5100mAh but charges faster with 70W Ultra Charge support.

Its rear camera setup includes a triple 50MP array: a main Sony LYT-701 sensor with OIS, an ultra-wide lens, and a 3x telephoto lens. The phone supports multi-focal length portrait photography (24mm to 85mm) and has a dedicated moon mode.

Release date

The TECNO CAMON 40 Series will launch locally next week, reportedly on April 23. Stay tuned for the the pricing and availability.
