Torque EGO Note 4G First Impressions

Torque recently announced four new smartphones and a tablet earlier today. One of the smartphones announced today is the Torque EGO Note 4G which supports 700MHz 4G LTE. Check out our thoughts on this smartphone below.

The Torque EGO Note 4G is company’s newest “flagship” smartphone that was announced and one of its main features is its 5.5-inch screen. It has an IPS LCD display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 and 2.5D contoured glass. Included on its front panel are the capacitive keys and the 5MP front camera with LED flash.

There are no buttons or ports on the left side of the smartphone but, located on the right side are the metallic volume and power buttons. You can also lift the back cover of the smartphone from this side.

Up on top, is the 3.5mm audio jack.

The bottom part has the microphone and the microUSB port.

Placed o nthe back is the 8MP Auto-Focus rear camera sits with the LED flash beside it. Just below the rear camera is the brand name and further down is the smartphone’s loudspeakers.

Opening it’s back panel and you will see where the dual-sim card and microSD card slots are located. It also has a 3000mAh removable battery.

The Note 4G’s dimensions are 153.9 x 77.8 x 9.05 mm, which makes it thicker and heavier than most smartphones in the market. It feels smooth when held thanks to the 2.5D glass.

Overall, there are four main features of this smartphone: 5.5-inch IPS LCD display, 2.5D contoured glass, two LED flashes located on the front and rear cameras separately, and its 700MHz 4G LTE frequency support. Its specs are suited for an entry-level smartphone but we can add that this smartphone packs a large 3000mAh battery which is above average for its tier-level.

The smartphone’s price is Php4,599 (For Lazada, see listing here).
