vivo Y29 4G now official with bigger battery

The vivo Y29 4G is now official and comes with a bigger 6,500mAh battery. For reference, the vivo Y29 5G announced late last year had a 5,500mAh battery.

It keeps the same 6.68-inch LCD with HD+ resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. It’s also fitted with Schott glass protection, which vivo says increases drop resistance by 64 percent.

Under the hood, it’s powered by a Snapdragon 685 chipset. Users may also get the 4G variant with up to 8GB RAM and up to 256GB of storage.

For optics, it has a 50-megapixel main paired with a 2-megapixel auxiliary sensor for bokeh effects. It also comes with a dynamic color light, LED flash, and an IR blaster. At the front, it’s also equipped with an 8-megapixel camera for selfies.

The vivo Y29 ships with Funtouch OS 15 based on Android 15, coming with AI features improving photo editing and connectivity. One of its standout features is the integration of Circle to Search, which is usually found in premium devices.

As mentioned, the device packs a larger 6,500mAh battery with support for 44W of charging. Other highlights include its IP64 rating and MIL-STD-810H certification.

The vivo Y29 4G is currently priced in Bangladesh for BDT 19,999 (~PHP 9.5K). It’s available in Noble Brown and Elegant White color options. It’s slated to launch on February 24, but interested readers can check it out via vivo’s website here.

We have yet to find out if this version of the vivo Y29 will be available in the Philippines. This is a developing story, but we’ll update readers once we have more information.
