In an attempt to steal the spotlight on Samsung’s upcoming release later today, Xiaomi launches its new Redmi Note 2 over at China that packs capable internals like a Helio X10 processor, a 3060mAh battery, and a really affordable price.

The Redmi Note 2 has two variants with one being the TDD-LTE + TD-SCDMA model for RMB799 (approx. $125), and the TDD-LTE + FDD-LTE variant which is priced at RMB899 (approx. $140). There’s also the Redmi Note 2 Prime which has a bigger 32GB storage with TDD-LTE + FDD-LTE and retails for RMB999 ($156).


Bought mine from local reseller here last August pa after they launched it in China with installed orig china version but upgraded already since day 1. Arrested the China version issue with the new global version thru Mi subforums download and intructions. Work fine for me now using Miui7 version. Try it. As simple as cut paste then reboot.
