Xiaomi officially launches Redmi Note 2 and Redmi Note 2 Prime

In an attempt to steal the spotlight on Samsung’s upcoming release later today, Xiaomi launches its new Redmi Note 2 over at China that packs capable internals like a Helio X10 processor, a 3060mAh battery, and a really affordable price.

The Redmi Note 2 has two variants with one being the TDD-LTE + TD-SCDMA model for RMB799 (approx. $125), and the TDD-LTE + FDD-LTE variant which is priced at RMB899 (approx. $140). There’s also the Redmi Note 2 Prime which has a bigger 32GB storage with TDD-LTE + FDD-LTE and retails for RMB999 ($156).

    Bought mine from local reseller here last August pa after they launched it in China with installed orig china version but upgraded already since day 1. Arrested the China version issue with the new global version thru Mi subforums download and intructions. Work fine for me now using Miui7 version. Try it. As simple as cut paste then reboot.

    Just root then install custom recovery, pwede ma na malaman pwedeng mga tanggalin trial n error nga lng kc walang guide n mahanap. I’ll buy one also from an intl legit site.

    my unit was from china, so daming unwanted apps na di maintindihan… i was hoping to find a guide how to at least localized it. also, im having a hard time now installing google play service. hope somebody can help.

      you should wait for the global version or at least the ph version of the rom.. how much and where did you bought it btw??

      Install the new global version from xiaomi website. Check on the available download then follow the instructions posted in subforums. Just make sure to get the right download for your unit model. Hth.
