ZTE has launched in China its new budget-friendly smartphone that packs a 5-inch HD display, 13 megapixel camera, Snapdragon quad-core CPU, and LTE connectivity – the Redbull.

As mentioned above, the ZTE Redbull sports a 5-inch 720p display, a 13 megapixel Sony CMOS main camera with F2.2 aperture, an 88-degree wide-angle 5 megapixel front camera, microSD card support, and LTE connectivity. Powering the device is a quad-core Snapdragon (MSM8926 or MSM8928) CPU, and a 2,400mAh battery.

Here’s the fun part, the Redbull comes in two variants: a 1GB RAM, 4GB internal storage model (Youth) which costs 799 Yuan or around $130; and a 2GB RAM, 8GB internal storage model (Energy) which costs 999 Yuan or around $160.

The Redbull comes in five colors – White, Lolita Pink, Primrose Yellow, Lime Green, and Sea Blue. Unfortunately, it looks like a China exclusive as of the moment. No sign yet from ZTE if they will make it available internationally.

Well this is a phone for a decent price. Why cant CM or myPhone not produce something like that, instead of the ridiculous line up as that of CM. Worthless dual and quadcore sets. such a pity its not coming soon
