Acer celebrates its 20th anniversary in the Philippines

Acer Philippines is celebrating its 20th anniversary in the country this 2023. The company has launched its largest campaigns ever to celebrate this milestone, including the Acer 37 High Back-to-School promo and Acer Day 2023.

The Acer High Back-to-School Program offers over PHP 2USD 0.03INR 3EUR 0.03CNY 0.25 million worth of prizes, such as local and international trips and Acer products. As part of the promotion, Acer announced Donny Pangilinan and Belle Mariano, two of the most sought-after young multi-hyphenates in the Philippines, as Acer brand ambassadors. They will also be among the performing artists at the highly anticipated Acer Day 2023 concert on August 6 at the SM Mall of Asia Arena.

The concert will feature other renowned artists such as Sarah Geronimo, Ely Buendia, Ben & Ben, Zack Tabudlo, Mayonnaise, Spongecola, and the newest Acer brand ambassador, international superstar Sandara Park.

Acer Philippines also hosts the next Asia Pacific Predator League, with local qualifiers currently ongoing. The league winners will represent the country in the Grand Final event in early 2024.

Acer CEO Jason Chen is in the Philippines to attend the third APEC Business Advisory Council (ABAC) meeting. During this meeting, Acer subsidiary Acer Cyber Security Inc. (ACSI) will share its cybersecurity self-assessment toolkit designed for micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) in APEC member economies to help them quickly identify potential cyber threats.

In a roundtable discussion with members of the media, Chen reiterated Acer’s focus on sustainability for the planet, the business, and the people.

“At the heart of Acer’s efforts is a deep commitment to sustainability. By 2025, Acer plans to achieve 100% renewable energy as part of its Earth Mission (Earthion), which includes sustainability in product design, packaging design, production, logistics, recycling, and energy,” said Chen.
