Adobe Photoshop Is Now On iPhone

In a recent announcement, Adobe revealed an all-new version of its iconic Photoshop application – tailor-made for the Apple iPhone. This will surely come as great news to on-the-go content creators and photographers.

The company has reimagined the Photoshop experience to be as intuitive as possible on the mobile form factor. While it is not meant to be a substitute to the desktop version, it carries along numerous functionalities that make it perfect for beginner and advanced users alike.

And, what’s even better to hear is that it’ll be free to use. Here are some of the things you’ll be able to do with the free version:

Photoshop on iPhone free featureset:

  • Create unique designs and images by combining, compositing and blending images with core Photoshop tools and features, including precise selection toolsunlimited layers and masks.
  • Remove, recolor or replace part of an image after making a selection using the intuitive Tap Select tool.
  • Brush away spots in seconds with advanced removal tools like the Spot Healing Brush.
  • Speed up and simplify complex edits with powerful generative AI tools that are safe for commercial use, like Generative Fill and Generative Expand.
  • Make advanced edits in Photoshop, then bring your cloud PSDs into Adobe Express and Adobe Fresco and even edit Adobe Lightroom photos in Photoshop on iPhone.
  • Edit with flexibility, using non-destructive unlimited layersselective adjustments and the PSD format.
  • Import and export images while preserving file fidelity and image quality with full-resolution editing.
  • Add, replace and create with a vast library of hundreds of thousands of free Adobe Stock assets.

For those who want to take things a step further though, the Photoshop Mobile & Web plan exists to provide additional functionality. As mentioned in the name, this plan applies to both the Mobile and Web versions of the Photoshop application.

Users subscribed to this service can seamlessly integrate projects between the mobile and web versions – and as such, access exclusive features like the Camera RAW filter, shapes, layer effects, and others.

On top of that, this subscription bolsters the Mobile version with removal of objects (Object Select with Remove Tool), Advanced Blend Modes, a library of 20,000 fonts, and Adobe Firefly AI support.

Adobe is also looking to introduce live co-editing features – just imagine editing the same image, with other people, in real time!

Interested now? Check it out on the App Store.

Is it coming to Android?

Yes, it is! It’s slated to come out sometime later this year, but you can sign up here to be notified by Adobe themselves.
