AMD is gearing up its next-gen RDNA 5 GPUs, slated for an early 2025 launch. These GPUs are expected to power the company’s strongest PC portfolio yet, an AMD exec claims.
“We are on-track to launch the first RDNA 4 GPUs in early 2025,” AMD chief executive Dr. Lisa Su confimed to PCWorld.
While AMD’s data center business continues to thrive, its gaming segment, which includes PC and console GPUs, saw a significant decline. However, the upcoming RDNA 4 GPUs, promising a major leap in performance and ray-tracing capabilities, are poised to turn the tide.
Rumored to be dubbed RX 8000 or Navi 4X, these GPUs are expected to target the mid-range market, reportedly claimed as a great alternative to NVIDIA’s offerings.
With CES 2025 just around the corner, AMD is expected to hold an official reveal and likely a deep dive into their RDNA GPU performance and features.
Meanwhile, the upcoming Ryzen 9000X3D GPU aimed for gaming and content creation, is set to launch this November 7th.
