Angcars, a new car-hailing service by Angkas, has been live on its app for a while now.
The new service appears as a third option next to the original moto-taxi and Padala services. However, it’s currently in beta phase and is only available in select areas throughout Metro Manila.
As of writing, Angcars is servicing Mandaluyong, Makati, Pasig, and Bonifacio Global City in Taguig.
Furthermore, Angkas has revealed the fare structure for Angcars. The base fare is at Php 45.00; the per kilometer charge is Php 15.00; and there’s a per minute charge of Php 2.00, which fluctuates depending on traffic conditions.
The only option for now is a four-seater vehicle. Previously, Angkas CEO George Royeca said that users will have options such as Angcars Economy and Angcars Plus for four-seater and six-seater vehicles, respectively.
Angkas promises to expand a wider coverage in Metro Manila for Angcars soon. Thus, we can expect the company to officially introduce the new service sooner than later.
