During today’s ‘Wonderlust’ iPhone 15 unveiling, Apple casually told that its AirPods Pro (2nd generation) also gets updated to USB-C port. Whereas the company claims its USB-C MagSafe charging case can provide up to six hours playback time.
This is in line with a significant change on the iPhone 15, now sporting a USB-C port as well, replacing the Lightning port. This change makes sense since all other Apple devices such as a MacBook and an iPad already use USB-C.
With the inevitable re-release of AirPods Pro 2nd-generation, Apple rightly so, has made incremental improvements. Including feature compatible with iOS 17, such as Adaptive Audio.

Despite the major change to a USB-C port, Apple isn’t charging more. It will remain priced at PHP 14,990 SRP as with the previous model with a Lightning port. And for those who aren’t quite ready to make the switch to USB-C, there are always the AirPods (2nd and 3rd gen) and AirPods Max to consider.
Currently, the new USB-C version of the 2nd-gen AirPods Pro is tagged as ‘unavailable’ on its PH website 41. However, the company says that its new products will be globally available on September 22.
