ASUS ZenFone 5Q gets a price cut

ASUS has announced that the ZenFone 5Q is getting a price cut for the holiday season.

Editor’s note: This article originally mentioned that ASUS gave price cuts for two devices, the ZenFone 5 and 5Q. However, ASUS clarified that the posted price cut for the ZenFone 5, PHP 14,995USD 256INR 21,662EUR 243CNY 1,861, was a mistake on their part. According to the company, the ZenFone 5 maintains a price tag of PHP 17,995USD 307INR 25,996EUR 292CNY 2,233. We have updated the article to reflect the said info.

The ASUS ZenFone 5Q is now on sale for PHP 12,995USD 221INR 18,773EUR 211CNY 1,613, a few thousand pesos off its original PHP 15,995USD 273INR 23,106EUR 260CNY 1,985 SRP when it launched in the Philippines earlier this year.

Author’s note: An earlier post made by ASUS has the ZenFone 5 priced at Php14,995USD 256INR 21,662EUR 243CNY 1,861. They later changed it to Php17,995USD 307INR 25,996EUR 292CNY 2,233, which currently reflects in their social media posting. ASUS said that it was an error on their part.

18,000 for a 636 in Zenfone 5? And that’s after a “huge” price cut already? Nokia looks cheap compared to this. Asus you must be joking.

the xiaomi mi A2 SD660 4GB/64GB would have been better if it had 3500mah. too bad xiaomi only placed ~3000mah battery in it.

if i were xiaomi, i’d put at least 4000mah battery even in flagship models.
it is not like rich people will not buy the latest phones. it would benefit some of us who always receive hand-me-down-from-last-year-phones.

asus move of putting 4000-5000mah in some phone models is really good.
