Atari has partnered with Nubeo to release a limited edition Asteroids Watch, featuring a unique design that replaces traditional watch hands with rotating discs that move asteroids, UFOs, and a triangular ship to mark time.
The ship at the center acts as the second hand, completing a full rotation in one minute.
Meanwhile, UFOs and asteroids rotate to indicate minutes and hours.
Each element glows in the dark, making it visible at night, though the busy design might take some time to get used to.
The watch comes with a 50mm stainless steel case, 24mm silicone strap, and 20 ATM water resistance, allowing it to withstand depths of up to 200 meters underwater.
It also ships in a collector’s case designed like an Atari VCS console, adding an extra nostalgic touch.
At $499, the Asteroids Watch is available in seven color options, with only 125 units per color.
While it may not be the most practical timepiece, it’s a rare collectible that ties into Asteroids’ 45th anniversary, making it a solid pick for retro gaming fans.
