Bumble adds AI-powered Bee to improve dating matches

Listen to article

Bumble is testing “Bee,” a new AI assistant that could simplify online dating by cutting down on continuous swiping. Users can use a new tool called Dates, where Bee inquires about their communication style, values, and relationship objectives, rather than going through each profile one at a time.

After learning what the user wants, Bee looks for possible matches and sends both people a message if it finds a good fit. The system provides users with a brief description of their potential match compatibility.

Bumble states that Bee will become a future date planning tool which will provide users with suggestions and match analysis. The feature is currently undergoing internal testing which will lead to a public testing phase that will start in the near future.
