Canon EOS-1D X Mark III DSLR camera now official

Canon has officially announced its flagship DSLR, the EOS-1D X Mark III, with a redesigned 20.1MP full-frame CMOS sensor, DIGIC X processor, and EOS iTR AF X 191-Point AF System.

The Canon EOS-1D X Mark III DSLR camera is the company’s most advanced flagship camera to date. It boasts a new 20.1MP full-frame CMOS sensor with a new low-pass filter, DIGIC X image processor, sensitivity range of ISO 100–102400 that can be extended to ISO 50–819200, improved speeds of up to 16 fps with the optical viewfinder or 20 fps in live view, and the capability to capture images in the HEIF format with HDR metadata.

Other features include two CFexpress card slots, a 191-point phase-detect sensor with 155 cross-type points, Dual Pixel CMOS AF system with 525 areas, 5.5K RAW recording at up to 60 fps, up to DCI 4K recording at 60 fps and Full HD up to 120 fps, weather-sealed body, 3.2” 2.1M-dot touchscreen, optical viewfinder, built-in WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS, mini-HDMI port, USB Type-C, headphone and mic jacks, and Ethernet.

The Canon EOS-1D X Mark III is priced at USD 6,499 (body only) and is expected to be available in February 2020.
