COMELEC launches iRehistro website for online voter registration

COMELEC has recently launched iRehistro, an online accomplishment of forms to facilitate the application for voters’ registration.

The online facility helps people to accomplish online forms for voter registration. As cited on the website, accomplishing the online form does not automatically make an applicant a registered voter.

To access the application forms, visit the iRehistro 31 website. Applicants may choose the type of application they will file, such as registration, transfer of registration record, reactivation of registration record, change of name due to marriage or court order/correction of entries in the voters’ registration record, and inclusion of records in the book of voters/reinstatement of the name in the list of voters.

After proceeding, the registrant needs to accomplish the form by giving out the details, including personal information, supplementary data, citizenship details, and address. Applicants also have the option to set an appointment for biometrics capture and form submission on the website. Do note that those with appointments are given priority over walk-in applicants.

Voter applicants are still required to appear personally at the local COMELEC office (or the concerned Philippine embassy or consulate). To complete the filing process, they need to bring the printed online application forms with three copies for QR scanning and biometrics capture. The Election Registration Board (ERB) still has to approve the application on the scheduled date for the next ERB hearing.
