Dell XPS 17: Core i9, 64GB RAM, 2TB SSD for Php250k

The latest Apple Macbook Pro 14″ and 16″ were offering up to 96GB of RAM and 12-core CPU. We wondered if there’s any Windows laptop currently in the market that could match it or even top that configuration.

Then, we saw this Dell XPS 17 9720 being offered up at Villman that could potentially be a good match with a 14-core Intel Core i9, 64GB of RAM and 2TB of SSD.

Dell XPS 17 9720 specs:
17inch, UHD+ 3840 x 2400, 60Hz, Touch, Anti-Reflect, 500 nit, InfinityEdge
12th Gen Intel Core i9-12900HK 24MB cache
14 cores, 20 threads, up to 5.0GHz Turbo
64GB (2 x 32 GB) DDR5 RAM, 4800 MHz, dual-channel
2 TB, M.2, PCIe NVMe, SSD
NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060, 6 GB GDDR6,
Intel Killer Wi-Fi 6 1675 (AX211) 2×2
Bluetooth 5.2
Backlit keyboard
Fingerprint sensor
SD-card slot
6 Cell, 97 Wh battery
Stereo woofer 2 W x 2 and stereo tweeter 2.5 W x 2
720p 30fps HD RGBIr web camera
Digital-array microphones
4 Thunderbolt 4 (USB Type-C) with DisplayPort and Power Delivery
1 Universal audio jack
Windows 11 Pro

This package is selling for Php249,990 over at Villman but once we checked the Dell US website, the same configuration could be had for a more affordable price of $3,749 (before the estimated $309 in taxes).

When we compare this to an Apple Macbook Pro 16 running an M2 Max with 12‑core CPU, 38‑core GPU, 64GB RAM and 2TB SSD, that will set you back about ₱264,990 ($4,299 before taxes in the US Apple Store). Looks like you’re getting a better deal with the Deal XPS 17.
