The Department of Transportation (DOTr) Secretary Arthur Tugade has announced free train rides for vaccinated commuters during the ECQ until August 20, 2021.
With this, vaccinated Authorized Persons Outside of Residence (APOR) may now avail themselves of free rides in the Light Rail Transit 2 (LRT-2), Manila Metro Rail Transit 3 (MRT-3), and Philippine National Railways (PNR).
Passengers who have received the first dose or complete dose of vaccine against COVID-19 are qualified. Eligible passengers must present their vaccination cards as proof of inoculation to avail themselves of free rides.
Moreover, Tugade also mentioned that the Philippine Ports Authority (PPA), Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines(CAAP), and Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA) would also offer free coffee, water, and snacks for vaccinated passengers.
