Ford launches Ranger FX4, enhancements for the Ranger lineup

Ford Philippines has launched the new Ford Ranger FX4 in two variants and five colors. Ford is also introducing enhancements to the rest of the Ranger lineup.

The Ford Ranger FX4 features a new design that includes unique 18-inch black alloy wheels, a new mesh grille, an extended steel sports bar. There are also black accents on the side mirror caps, door handles, bumpers, and fender.

Powering the new Ford Ranger FX4 is Ford’s 2.2L Duratorq diesel engine with a six-speed manual or automatic transmission, capable of delivering 160PS and 385Nm of torque.

It’s equipped with driver-assistance technologies such as Cruise Control, Anti-lock Braking System and Electronic Brake Force Distribution, Rear Parking Sensors, Rain Sensing Wipers, Power Folding Mirrors, and Electronic Power Assist Steering. There’s also an 8-inch full-color touchscreen infotainment system that’s compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

The new Ford Ranger FX4 is available in Absolute Black, Aluminum Metallic, Arctic White, Meteor Grey, and True Red. It can be purchased in Ford dealerships starting January 23, 2020, and is priced as follows:

  • 4×2 manual variant – PHP 1,256,000
  • 4×2 automatic variant – PHP 1,316,000

Ford is also introducing enhancements to the rest of the Ranger lineup. The Ranger XLS and XLT now come with a new 8-inch LCD touchscreen radio with Apple Carplay and Android Auto compatibility. Ford is also offering a new Ranger XLS Sport 4×2 A/T variant.

Both Ranger Wildtrak (4×2 and 4×4) variants are now offered with a new wheel design and LED headlamps. The Ranger Wildtrak 4×4 and the Ranger Raptor now also comes with camera-based Autonomous Emergency Braking w/ pedestrian detection, and high-mount USB feature to support dashcams.

Ford is also launching its Ford Island Conquest event. The first leg of the test drive will start from January 24 to 26, 2020, from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM at the SM Mall of Asia Concert Grounds in Pasay City. Customers who wish to test drive the new Ranger FX4 and other Ford vehicles may come to the event and drive on Ford’s specialized course that showcases the vehicles’ features and capabilities. Customers who purchase a Ford vehicle also get a chance to avail exclusive offers and deals, including a PHP 10,000  cash discount, and pick-a-prize discount up to PHP 100,000. Over PHP 1.3 million worth of discounts and prizes are up for grabs during the event.
