The Framework Laptop 16 with AMD Ryzen AI 300 Series processors and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 GPU is now official.

This iteration of the device comes with NVIDIA Blackwell architecture, 8GB GDDR7 RAM, and up to a 40 percent performance boost over the previous Radeon RX 7700S GPU. However, this graphics card still remains an option for the device.
For processors, users can choose from an 8-core Ryzen AI 7 350 and a 12-core Ryzen AI 9 HX 370. Both run at 45W TDP, with the system supporting up to 96GB DDR5-5600 RAM, 1TB storage via dual M.2 slots, and four simultaneous display outputs.
As an updated version of the device, it comes with a new USB Type-C display output and power input support. Its thermal system has also been redesigned for reduced noise.
In addition, it comes with 100W sustained TGP and NVIDIA G-SYNC support. Display-wise, it has a 165Hz screen with 2560 x 1600 resolution.
Framework also introduced a 240W USB Type-C power adapter that supports PD 3.1. Other updates include a second-gen webcam, reinforced CNC aluminum top cover, updated modular keyboards, and firmware improvements to prevent the system from waking if keys are triggered while the lid is closed.
The new graphics card is backwards compatible with previous Framework Laptop 16 models. It’s offered in both pre-built and DIY editions, with pre-orders live on Framework’s website.
The new Framework Laptop 16 pre-orders start at USD 1,499 (~PHP 86K). For interested readers, the first-gen model from 2023 now starts at USD 1,299 (~PHP 74K) with limited Ryzen 9 stocks. It’s also available with Ryzen 7 processors.
Shipping for the new model is set for November. Here’s a YouTube video about the updated Framework Laptop 16 model.
