Garmin launches Marq luxury smartwatches

Garmin recently announced the launch of the Marq, its new line of luxury smartwatches. The Marq lineup is made up of a total of five watches, with each watch having different features.

The Marq Driver is a smartwatch meant for racing. It features 250 famous racetracks preloaded in the watch, has a track timer, a lap time tracker, and a top speed tracker.

A pilot-specific watch, the Marq Aviator features functions such as emergency navigation, map, weather reports, and flight logging.

Made for sailing, the Marq Captain has autopilot and boat data functions, tack assist, wind speed, direction, temperature, and tide conditions, and a “man overboard” feature where the wearer can navigate towards the person overboard to rescue them swiftly.

The Marq Expedition is a smartwatch designed for hiking. It has topographical maps, a compass, and an “expedition app” where the battery life can be extended up to weeks.

Last but not least is the Marq Athlete, equipped with fitness features such as performance metrics, running and cycling maps, running dynamics, heart rate log, among others.

All five smartwatches are capable of receiving email, texts, and alert notifications, and can access Spotify through Bluetooth.
