GIGABYTE has just launched its newest gaming laptops powered by Intel 12th Generation Processors. The latest Gigabyte G5 and G7 will feature a combination of Intel’s i5-12500H processors with RTX graphics.
The 12-core 16 thread i5-12500 is powerful enough according to GIGABYTE for one’s needs of multitasking, gaming, and entertainment. These high performance laptops can play most games today as they are powered by RTX 30 series graphics cards. It also features a MUX switch, a graphics card switching technology.
The G5 is a 15-inch laptop, while the G7 is a 17-inch gaming laptop. Both laptops can be configured with the user’s choice of an RTX 3050, 3050Ti, or 3060. These RTX 30 series GPUs are Max-Q versions and offer a balance of power and performance. The company is also using their proprietary WINDFORCE Cooling System that uses 59-blade dual fans, 5 exclusive heat pipes, and 4 exhaust vents to keep the laptop cool.
Lastly, the new G5 and G7 are 22% smaller compared to the previous generation. Other features include a 144Hz refresh rate FHD display, up to 64GB of DDR4-3200 RAM, 2x M.2 slots, Thunderbolt 4, a full sized HDMI port, and a MicroSD Card Reader.
