Globe’s numbers for 5G roaming partners have increased to 156 locations worldwide, covering 82 different countries.
This is inclusive of Nigeria via MTN, Mauritius via Cellplus, and an upcoming agreement with Kenya through Africell.
Additionally, the company has collaborated with Tele2 and LaoTel, and has expanded their presence in Asia through Kazakhstan and Laos.
With this, Globe has the widest footprint in Africa, and is reaching out towards different areas in Asia.
Presently, the company has 894 new 5G sites around the world inclusive of the Philippines as of the end of 2023.
As Globe moves towards improving digital connection, they also obtained outdoor coverage worth 97.90% in the National Capital Region.
Meanwhile, in major Visayan and Mindanao cities, Globe amounted to 92.36% outdoor coverage. The company also has records of more than 5.8 million devices under their 5G network as of December 2023.
Globe has also toned down expenses towards new 5G sites, considering current market conditions and use cases for harnessing 5G.
