Globe LTE coverage expands in Q1 with 934 new sites

Listen to article

Globe recently announced that they have expanded their LTE coverage in Q1 2018 with 934 new sites nationwide.

According to Globe, they have put up additional 934 LTE sites using the 700MHz, 2600 MHz and 1800 MHz frequencies in the first quarter of the year including Jolo, Tawi-Tawi, and Batanes.

In addition, Globe has also deployed 200 Massive MIMO sites using the 2600MHz band. Massive MIMO technology enables a mobile network to multiply the capacity of a wireless connection without requiring more antennas. It also increases wireless throughput to accommodate more users at higher data rates with better reliability while consuming less power.

Dito sa baguio poor coverage ang Globe. . Pagpasok mo ng building. Mawawalan ka na nang signal. . Kung may globe lte or 3g signal ka para kang gumagamit ng 2g phone sa sobrang bagal. . Unlike sa smart kahit saan ka pumunta dito sa baguio malakas ang signal at ang bilis ng internet speed.

Bullshit, I was in Batanes this May, not once did I experience LTE connectivity, but I could not connect even to FB even with full 3G signal. SMART had strong LTE signal all through out the island.
