Google launches Messages for Web

Google has launched new features for its Android Messages app which includes Messages for Web.

Messages for Web basically lets you send and receive texts from your PC. In addition to sending texts, you can also send stickers, emoji, and attach images.

To get started, go to messages.android.com on your web browser. Open the Messages app on your phone, tap the More options menu, select “Messages for web”, then scan the QR code with your phone.

The feature is rolling out to users starting today so make sure to keep your Android Messages app updated.

gumana xa saken. I think dapat android messages by google llc yung gamit mo as default sms app para gumana or dun sa android messages by google llc lang talaga xa gumagana.

Depende yata sa Globe or Smart yung rollout. Bale kanina ko lang na-experience.

Hi, Louie. Is it applicable already here in the Philippines? Are there specific system requirements or compatible devices? If none, have you tried it in an android phone?

I did try it though using Oppo with the latest Messages app from Google but I cant find the option that says “Messages for web”. Glad to hear any feedback from you! Thank you.
