Google may soon allow users to change the email address linked to their Google account, based on details found on an official Google support page written in Hindi.

According to the page, the feature will roll out gradually, meaning not all users will see it right away. If implemented, Google will let users update their account email once every 12 months. Instead of removing the old email address, Google will keep it active and add the new one as an alias.
This means users can send and receive emails using different addresses under one Google account. All emails will still go to one inbox, but users may be able to filter messages and choose which email address to use when sending emails. In total, Google may allow up to three new email addresses to be added over time, for a maximum of four addresses linked to one account.
This change could help users who manage multiple Google accounts for personal, work, or school use. Many people currently rely on Gmail’s filtering and forwarding tools to handle different email needs. The new system could make managing multiple addresses easier under a single account.
However, there are limits. Once an email address is added, it cannot be removed. It is also unclear if this feature will work with Google Workspace accounts or allow users to merge separate Google accounts.
Google has not yet shared a full rollout timeline or confirmed all details.
