New leaks have emerged online revealing key specifications of Google’s upcoming Pixel 8 Series. The said leak provided insights into the camera, chipset, memory, and even their pricing details.
In an X post, a leaker uploaded a photo that apparently came from Google themselves.
Starting with the vanilla model, Pixel 8—which has a price increase to USD 699 from its predecessor, Pixel 7 which retailed for USD 599.
Meanwhile the Pixel 8 Pro retains the same price as the Pixel 7 Pro at USD 899.
Both the Pixel 8 and 8 Pro equips the Google Tensor G3 and maintains their RAM configuration at 8GB and 12GB RAM, respectively.
There aren’t drastic changes on the cameras of the base model keeping the 50-megapixel main and 12-megapixel ultrawide which now has macro capability. The front camera of both variants though, has a slight decrease in resolution at 10.5-megapixels (from 10.8MP).
The Pro variant on the other hand has its ultrawide lens jump to 48-megapixels (from 12MP). And with also retains the 50-megapixel man and 48-megapixel 5x telephoto lenses.
Colorways are also hinted with Pixel 8 potentially available in dark olive green, and the Pro variant in sky blue.
The official launch of the Google Pixel 8 Series is scheduled for next week. However, Google has already provided a sneak peek 83 of the new lineup in a video released earlier this month.
We will learn more details when they are officially unveiled on October 4.
