After numerous leaks, the Google Pixel Tablet has now been officially launched.
Sporting a 10.95-inch 2560 x 1600 LCD display, Google’s Tensor G2 chipset, and 8GB of LPDDR5 RAM with either 128 or 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage — the Pixel Tablet is Google’s first tablet in years since its Nexus 7 back in 2013.
What sets the Pixel Tablet apart is the bundled charging speaker dock (as seen above). The dock keeps the tablet charged and has speakers that Google claims can produce four times the bass than the Pixel Tablet alone for room-filling sound.
Google envisions the Pixel Tablet, with the dock, to serve as a Hub device to access all your smart home devices.
There are two 8MP cameras on the Pixel Tablet, one on the rear and one on top of the screen in the middle (in landscape). The Pixel Tablet will also have a 27 watt-hour battery and a fingerprint sensor on the power button.
There will also be a Pixel Tablet Case, for when you want to prop the device without the speaker dock. It seems that you will also be able to hang or hook the tablet given the case’s design.
In terms of pricing, the Pixel Tablet will come bundled with the Charging Speaker Dock for USD $499PHP 29,284INR 42,290EUR 475CNY 3,632 (around Php 27,828.23USD 474INR 40,201EUR 452CNY 3,453). It’s available today for pre-order online in the U.S., Canada, U.K., Germany, France, Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Japan, the Netherlands, and Australia.
