Google to end Gmailify support this 2026

Listen to article

Google has confirmed that Gmailify support for non-Gmail email accounts will be discontinued starting January 2026.

In a support page, Google has confirmed that Gmailify support for non-Gmail email accounts will end this year.

This means users will no longer be able to link services like Yahoo, AOL, Outlook or Hotmail to Gmail using Gmailify.

Gmailify currently lets users access third-party emails inside Gmail while keeping features such as spam protection, smart inbox sorting, better notifications and advanced search. Once support ends, these integrations will no longer work.

After unlinking a third-party account, users can choose whether to keep or delete previously synced emails in Gmail. Deleted copies will remain accessible in the original email service while retained copies will stay in Gmail. However, they will no longer sync changes back to the original account.

Google has not announced a direct replacement for Gmailify and users relying on the feature are advised to prepare for the transition ahead of the January 2026 cutoff.
