GPD Win 5 handheld gaming console now official

The GPD Win 5 11 handheld gaming console has been announced, available starting October 17, 2025.

It sports a 7-inch FHD IPS LCD screen with a refresh rate of 120Hz. Powering this device is an AMD Ryzen AI Max+ 305 processor with 16 Zen 5 cores and Radeon 8060S graphics.

For storage configurations, users can get it with up to 128GB LPDDR5X RAM and up to 4TB of SSD storage. One of its highlights is its detachable 80Wh battery, bringing its weight down to 565 grams from 915 grams.

Controls-wise, it has capacitive joysticks with zero dead zones. These also come with hall effect triggers, which contributes to more precision with a 0.1ms response time.

GPD says that this handheld can throw punches with a number of high-end desktops. Notably, they noted it rivals a PC fitted with an NVIDIA RTX 4060 Mobile GPU in certain workloads.

The GPD Win 5 has an estimated price of under USD 2,000 (~PHP 115,000). Pre-orders for the device are already live at the time of writing.
