Grimalkin: The Mi Home PH page is fake

In a new development to the story we’ve published the other dayGrimalkin Corporation, the official Xiaomi distributor in the country, has announced that the MI Home PH facebook page is not, in any way, representing their company as the legitimate Philippine partner.

According to a Facebook post from Grimalkin, purchases made from other pages aside from their own would not be covered by official warranty.

Grimalkin is a subsidiary of the Star Paper Corporation, and is the Philippine license holder to distribute official Xiaomi products here in the country. Grimalkin urges Mi Fans to drop by their official Facebook page  or their other @MiAuthorizedResellerPH page too for more info, or wait for their Mi Home shop opening at SM City North EDSA instead.

i hope the gadgets sold are not fakes. ;)

seriously, i think the philippines’ cybercrime division of the nbi (if there is such a thing) should investigate this formally.

maybe, Mi company should provide a list of authorized distributors (both online and pysical stores) so that the buying public can be guided.
