Here’s what we know about the upcoming Samsung Galaxy A27

Listen to article

The Samsung A-series line has competed fiercely in the entry-level to midrange PH smartphone market, especially in the recent years. The Korean smartphone giant is set to make another addition with the Galaxy A27, meant to slot in between the A17 and A37 devices. Here’s what we know so far.

Based on a Geekbench database update only refreshed yesterday, Samsung has opted to use the ever-reliable Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 processor in the A27 rather than its in-house Exynos options. Other sources hypothesize that this is a move to stabilize costing and offset higher RAM prices.

The camera system should also be robust – with a 50-megapixel main camera, 8-megapixel ultrawide, and 2-megapixel macro. The headlining feature here is that it is likely to fully support 4K video recording, something not available with the A26.

Other rumors suggest a 5,000mAh battery with 25 or 45W fast charging, an IP67 rating, and full access to Samsung’s comprehensive suite of AI features.

We’ll be getting more information soon, so stay tuned!
