The Honor 90 and Honor 90 Pro made their debut in China today. The new iterations have slight improvement over their predecessors, with the most impressive feature being the 200 MP main camera with an ISOCELL HP3 sensor.
Yes, these phones are 5G-capable, in case you’re wondering. Although the phones were initially released in China, the company has confirmed that they will soon be available globally, with Google apps and services pre-installed.

The Honor 90 Pro variant features a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with 10-bit colors. The panel has a 120Hz refresh rate, HDR support, over 1,000 nit brightness, and 3840Hz UHF PWM dimming to reduce eye strain for the user.
Underneath, it uses a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset.
The back camera is a significant upgrade, featuring a 200-megapixel main camera (as compared to Honor 80 Pro’s 160MP), a 12-megapixel ultrawide lens, and a 32-megapixel portrait shooter with 2.5x optical zoom and optical image stabilization (OIS).
It has two front-facing cameras, a 50MP main camera and a 2MP depth sensor, both capable of 4K video recording, just like its predecessor.
Its battery is rated at 5,000 mAh that supports 90 watts fast charging, which takes 15 minutes to fill up to 56%. Other features include dual stereo speakers, GPU Turbo X, MagicUI 7.1 on top of Android 13, and NFC.
The vanilla model, Honor 90 has a slightly smaller screen at 6.7-inch that uses an OLED screen but with a higher peak brightness of 1,600 nits, at least according to Honor’s website. It also has 120Hz refresh rate.
The model is equipped with Snapdragon 7 Gen 1, although Honor has managed to increase its max clock speed from 2.4GHz to 2.5GHz.
The selfie camera on the vanilla model is the same as the Honor 90 Pro with 50MP resolution. The phone also includes a 200MP main and a 12MP ultrawide lenses on the back, but the third camera is only a 2MP depth sensor instead of a telephoto unit. While the phone doesn’t have OIS, it does have electronic image stabilization (EIS).
Its battery is rated at 5000mAh too, but it only has 66 watts charging rate.
The Honor 90 Series has been released in China and is now available for pre-order. The first sale will start on June 7, 2023.
The Honor 90 and 90 Pro comes in four colorways: Black, Green, and Ice Feather Blue, while fourth is a silver ‘Star Diamond’ patterned design.
