Honor is hosting a launch event next week on July 12 to unveil a range of new products. The star of the show is the HONOR Magic V3 foldable, rumored to be even thinner than its record-breaking predecessor, the Magic V2.
Leaks suggest a mere 9.7mm thickness when folded which is 0.2mm thinner than its predecessor. This is possible due to what the company has implemented with the foldable’s battery.
Honor says it has developed an industry-first 10% silicon content battery making the Magic V3’s battery 4.4% thinner than the Magic V2’s while also making it able to store higher energy density.
For context, energy density measures how much energy can a battery store in a given amount of space.
Naturally, the foldable will boast the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 paired with at least 16GB RAM.
HONOR Magic V3 (expected) specs:
Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3
16GB RAM

The Magic V3 won’t be alone in the spotlight. Honor’s event will also see the launch of the Magic Vs3, presumably a more affordable follow-up to the Magic Vs2 16 that launched October last year.
There’s also the MagicPad 2 tablet, arriving exactly one year after its predecessor, and the MagicBook Art 14 laptop.
