HONOR Teases “Robot Phone” Ahead of March Launch

Listen to article

HONOR just dropped a teaser that’s bound to shake up the smartphone world. During the launch of the Magic 8 series, CEO Li Jian took the stage to unveil the HONOR Robot Phone, a device that’s exactly what it sounds like: a phone with robotic mobility.

Built on three core technologies : AI brain, robotic movement, and pro-level imaging, the Robot Phone features a hidden robotic gimbal arm that unfolds from the body. It can auto-frame, track subjects, and stabilize shots hands-free. Despite this, it still looks like a regular smartphone with a thick camera module.

Powered by HONOR’s YOYO AI, the Robot Phone forms part of the company’s Alpha Project, aimed at evolving smartphones into “silicon-based life partners.”

While still in concept phase, HONOR promises a full reveal at MWC Barcelona 2026, where we’ll likely see how this bold experiment merges robotics and mobile tech.
