If there’s any country closer to the Philippines when it comes to local pricing of handsets, it would be India. So if HTC launches the HTC One there with a retail price with roughly the equivalent of Php29,990, we might also see the same when the smartphone finally lands in the Philippines this May.

The HTC One is probably the most under-rated smartphone that was announced this first quarter and the only problem it is facing right now is the shortage of Snapdragon 600 chips that it will be using. Despite the delay, folks are eagerly waiting for this handset (and so are we).
We’ve been told that demo unit is already available with the Philippine distributor (and we were offered to visit their office to get a better look a few weeks back) and we’ve actually had a short time with a couple of units several weeks ago as well. And if our prediction is any accurate, the HTC One will be priced really competitively at Php29,990 {via}.
