The HUAWEI FreeBuds Pro 5 has been announced, adding to the company’s flagship wearables. The buds are the first to be powered by NearLink Audio and follows the debut of the HUAWEI Mate 70 Air.
As per its official details on Weibo, the buds focus on reducing latency and offering lossless audio quality. It may have an end-to-end transmission rate of 16Mbps for connectivity.
However, the company has yet to unpack the audio technology in detail. As the name suggests, it’s inferred that it’s likely related to connectivity with other devices or multiple smartphones.
The buds are expected to be revealed in detail along with the Mate 80 series. They will come in four colors, Earth Gold, Frost Silver, Snow White, and Sky Blue.
Other features of the FreeBuds Pro 5 have yet to be disclosed at the time of writing. We’ll update readers once we get more information on this developing story.
