Huawei has officially released the public beta of HarmonyOS 6, its latest in-house operating system, following its initial announcement back in June. The rollout brings a refreshed interface, smoother performance, and a range of new AI-powered features to Huawei devices.

The update introduces a revamped design with updated animations, improved lockscreen customization, and an optimized user interface for faster performance. It also debuts XiaoYi, Huawei’s new AI personal assistant, which can provide contextual information and perform tasks autonomously.
Huawei has confirmed the list of devices eligible for the HarmonyOS 6 public beta in China. Users can register for the update via the My Huawei app.

Huawei also announced that the HarmonyOS 6 closed beta will roll out later this month for select flagship and wearable devices.

Additional devices are scheduled to join the beta program from November to December 2025, including the Huawei Nova 14 Lite (Vitality Edition), Enjoy 70X, MatePad Mini, and MatePad Air (2024 & 2025). The list also includes several wearables and audio products like the Watch Fit 4 Series, FreeBuds Pro 4, and FreeClip 2.
The HarmonyOS 6 beta marks Huawei’s latest step in strengthening its self-developed software ecosystem, unifying its smartphones, tablets, laptops, and wearables under one cohesive platform.
