Huawei Y6p, Y5p, MatePad T8 to launch in the Philippines

Huawei is releasing two new entry-level smartphones and their budget tablet, the Huawei Y6p, Y5p, and MatePad T8 in the Philippines.

The Huawei Y6p sports a 6.3-inch TFT LCD with a MediaTek Helio P22 chipset paired with 3GB of RAM and 64GB of storage expandable via MicroSD. There’s a triple rear camera system consisting of a 13MP primary, 5MP ultra-wide, and 2MP depth, while an 8MP selfie camera sits in a waterdrop notch. Out of the box, it runs on EMUI 10.1 based on Android 10, with HMS. Powering the device is a 5,000mAh battery charged via MicroUSB.

The Huawei Y5p, on the other hand, sports a 5.45-inch TFT LCD with the same MediaTek Helio P22 chipset. For storage, the Y5p comes with 2GB of RAM and 32GB of storage expandable via MicroSD cards. Unlike the Y6p, the Huawei Y5p only comes with two cameras: an 8MP rear camera, and a 5MP selfie camera. It also ships with EMUI 10.1 with Huawei’s Mobile Services out of the box, powered by a 3,020mAh battery.

Lastly, the Huwaei MatePad T8 sports an 8-inch HD display, MediaTek’s MTK8768 chipset, with 2GB of RAM, and up to 32GB of storage. There are two cameras on the MatePad T8, a 5MP primary, and a 2MP front-facing camera. It runs on EMUI 10.0.1 based on Android 10 with HMS, and a 5,100mAh battery.
