Itel might not be a popular name in the Philippines, but they do offer some very affordable smartphones in the country. Over at the company’s home country of India, Itel has just introduced a new tablet dubbed the Itel Pad 1. Like their phones, it is very affordable and light on the wallet.
The Itel Pad 1 features a metal body, a 10.1-inch IPS display, and a large 6,000mAh battery. The design of the tablet itself, at least in the photos, looks nice too. It somewhat reminds us of the current-generation iPad, at least from the back.
Powering the Pad 1 is a Unisoc SC9863A1 SoC, 4GB RAM, and 128GB of internal storage. However, storage can be expanded via MicroSD card up to 512GB. The tablet runs on Android 12 (Go Edition) out of the box. There are also two cameras – an 8MP front camera and a 5MP at the back. Other features of the tablet include a 3.5mm audio jack, a dual-speaker system, GPS, Bluetooth, WiFi, and LTE connectivity.
It’s not the most powerful tablet out there, but the Itel Pad 1 is priced at only INR12,999 or roughly PHP 8,900 in India. There are two colors available – Light Blue and Deep Grey.
There’s no word yet whether the Itel Pad 1 will be made available in the Philippines, but we will keep you updated.
